I, Rukeiya Ibrahim, am from Cape Town, South Africa. I completed high school studies in Johannesburg, South Africa, and continued tertiary
studies on a full academic scholarship in the USA, graduating with a Bachelors of Science Degree cum laude in Business Administration and
Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey. During my studies, I worked as an intern in the Accounting department at Laura Ashley in the
USA, and was subsequently offered a position there, and at Sharp Electronics.
My teaching experience has been diverse in subject matter, as well as in demographics. In Jordan, I taught for two years at Oxford Schools;
English as a Second Language, as well as the IGCSE curriculum for Oxford University. In South Africa, I taught Accounting, Economics, English,
Life Orientation, and Art at middle and high school levels for fourteen years. In Charlotte, NC, I worked as a substitute teacher, and have been teaching English at middle and high school levels for five years. Along the way, I studied to become a Certified Adult ESL Instructor, and taught Adult ESL at Central Piedmont Community College for three years. I have also studied to become a Life Coach in North Carolina.
